We collect the information you provide when creating tasks, collections, and trip itineraries. This may include titles, descriptions, dates, times, locations, and attached photos.

Location Data

When you add locations to your tasks or trips, we store address information and coordinates. Photos you upload may contain location metadata (EXIF data), which we extract and store to display on maps. We strip this metadata from the stored images for privacy.

Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with our services, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain our services
  • Send you notifications and reminders you've requested
  • Calculate travel times and routes using Google Maps
  • Display your trips on interactive maps
  • Improve and personalize your experience

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Third parties who help us operate our services, including Google (for maps and authentication), cloud storage providers, and SMS delivery services.
  • Public Sharing: If you choose to publish a trip publicly, the information you include (titles, descriptions, photos, and optionally obfuscated locations) will be visible to anyone with the link.

SMS/Text Messaging

TimeDist offers optional SMS text message notifications to remind you of upcoming tasks and events. By providing your phone number and enabling SMS notifications, you consent to receive text messages from TimeDist.

Mobile Information Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except for aggregators and providers of the text message services necessary to deliver your notifications.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your notification preferences. You control when and how often you receive reminders through your account settings.

Opting Out of SMS

You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any text message you receive from us
  • Disabling SMS notifications in your account settings
  • Removing your phone number from your profile

We honor all opt-out requests using standard keywords including: STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, and UNSUBSCRIBE.

Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. TimeDist is not responsible for any charges from your carrier.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication through Firebase, and regular security reviews.
