Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TimeDist ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

Description of Service

TimeDist is a task management and trip planning application that helps you organize tasks, plan itineraries, calculate travel times, and receive optional SMS reminders for your scheduled activities.

Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

SMS Text Messaging Terms

TimeDist offers optional SMS text message notifications to remind you of upcoming tasks, appointments, and events. By providing your phone number and enabling SMS notifications in your account settings, you agree to the following terms:

1. Program Description

TimeDist sends SMS text message reminders for your scheduled tasks, appointments, and events to help you stay on track. Messages include the item title, scheduled time, location (if applicable), and a link to view details.

2. Opting Out

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to the number you received the message from. After you send "STOP," we will send you a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, enable SMS notifications in your account settings and we will start sending messages to you again.

3. Getting Help

If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at support@timedist.com.

4. Carrier Liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to your mobile carrier's network availability.

5. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies based on your notification settings. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

6. Privacy

For information about how we handle your data, please read our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including tasks, descriptions, and photos. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content and that your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

Public Sharing

If you choose to publish a trip or collection publicly, the information you include (titles, descriptions, photos, and location data) will be visible to anyone with the public link. You can unpublish content at any time to remove public access.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Google Maps for route calculation and mapping, Firebase for authentication, and SMS delivery providers. Your use of these integrated services is subject to their respective terms of service.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by TimeDist and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that travel time calculations will be accurate. You acknowledge that travel times are estimates and actual travel conditions may vary.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TimeDist shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to missed appointments or events due to notification failures or inaccurate travel time estimates.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
